Here is a old tutorial I am going to move over to my Jerrycentral
Retouch 2010
- Right click in Lightroom to Edit in Photoshop, this will make a copy of the file you are on and open in PS.
- Select the clone tool and and a small soft edge brush set to low opacity. Clone out any blemishes and shine that you want to reduce.
- Make a new blank layer and select the airbrush tool and grab a large soft edge brush. Set the pressure quite low, you will want to experiment with this as you work on your image. Sample the skin color in the area you are about to work and begin to cover the skin that needs retouching. On the PC machines sampling is done with an Alt click.

- Paint freely with the large brush as we will be able to fix any over spray later with a Layer mask. Shan says the most important thing is to not use too small of a brush.
- Go to laver and add layer mask (reveal all)
- Paint black on the layer mask to clean up the over spray as you see below. If you hit the Backslash button it will show a red overlay to see where you have been.

- Now the image has a fairly smooth look to it and needs some noise added to match the grain or noise of the image. Again experiment with the settings to see what works. The 6.37 turned out to be too high for my example.
- The final step is to reduce the opacity of the airbrush layer to the desired level.
