Love the smplicity of this booth. What are the panels in the booth made from and how are they assembled?
I found a you tube on how to make a “Hollywood flat” 1×4 frame covered with 4×8 thin luan, an underlay material you can buy at Lowes.
We made 2×8 and 4×8 flats and screwed it together from the back.
How do these walls stand up on their own?
The sections of the wall are connected with short deck screws. The long back wall has a 1×4 that is painted gray to brace the 3 sections, you can see it in the photos. The U shaped booth holds itself up, the side pieces overlap the back wall and are attached with screws through the back wall. Finally we made a T from 2-1x4s and ran it from side to side with the track lighting. The lighting made a big difference in the booth and was not very expensive. Google “trade show lighting” We are getting ready for another Bridal show on November 1.
Did you paint directly on the lauan?
You bet, just a couple coats of wall paint.
How is each panel connected together so seamlessly? Can you share a picture of what the back of the main wall looks like?
